Wednesday Afternoon Book Club
We have decided to move our upcoming book club meetings to an online format. Registrants will receive an emailed link prior to event date. Please email to register using the subject line "Wednesday Afternoon Bookclub"

On the third Wednesday of each month, from 1:00 to 2:00PM, the Wednesday Afternoon Book Club will read from the list below!

Registrants may pick up the sample bag on Monday,  September 20th, between 4 pm and 6 pm under the gazebo outside of the Blair Memorial Library. Just walk up to the VegMichigan table to get your bag.

Yoga-For-All Ages
Bring your mat or use a chair and join Marilyn Bird for a free basic yoga class, designed for all ages and skill levels.  This class will teach you how to improve your flexibility, strength and balance with basic yoga poses and breathing techniques.
We will also explore how to utilize the mind-body-breath connection to promote a deep sense of peacefulness and relaxation.
Class size is limited.

Residents of Oakland County who are unable to use standard printed materials as a result of temporary or permanent visual or physical limitations may qualify for the free Talking Book Library services. Come learn more about this great service!

 The Stories of Your Life Workshop
Writing your memoirs is one of the most rewarding projects you can do for yourself and your family. Whether your goal is to write short personal essays or a book-length memoir, workshop leader Cindy La Ferle will help you get started. Designed for beginners, the class will focus on the basic tools every writer uses for great storytelling. If time allows, we'll do some writing in the class. Bring your pen, a notebook, and a few favorite photographs from your memory album. Class size is limited.

 The Sporting Events That Changed America
This enlightening and enjoyable program will entertain and illuminate sports fans or anyone interested in American history. Hosted by Martin Gitlin and is based on his highly acclaimed book titled Powerful Moments in Sports: The Most Significant Sporting Events in American History. The program features exciting videos of sporting events through more than 100 years that greatly impacted society and/or the sports themselves.

The Friends of Blair Memorial Library meet at 6:30pm on the first Monday of the month (September–June). This dedicated group of library boosters welcomes all members of the community to join them as they plan activities and fundraisers to support the library. 


Clawson Business Resource Center Programming
Through a partnership of the Clawson Blair Memorial Library, Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and the support of the Oakland County Small Business Center we offer an extensive collection of resources for all your business needs.

Business Mentoring:
One-on-one business mentoring is available by SCORE representatives, current and retired business executives, offering no cost confidential counseling. Request counseling online at; click on ‘Request a Meeting’ in the green box on the right side of  the page or phone 313-226-7947.

Note: Appointments may be scheduled in Clawson, at the *Blair Memorial Library, every Wednesday from 5pm-8pm. If you desire the Clawson location please specify. If using the online scheduling note Clawson in the ‘Your Question’ box. Clawson is the only location that offers evening counseling.
