Fire Fighting Equipment and Apparatus
The Clawson Fire Department operates equipment out of two stations. Our main station located at 111 Gardner Ave. holds; Engine 16-4, Rescue 16-5, Ladder 16-6 and our vintage 1947 Mack. Our auxiliary station located adjacent to the DPW building located at 635 W. Elmwood holds; Engine 16-3.
Engine 16-3 is a 2009 Pierce Saber "PUC" Pumper. This engine features; a Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, a 6-speed Allison Automatic Transmission, a 1500gpm Pierce "PUC” pump, a 20 gal. Husky 12 foam system and a 500 gallon water tank.
Engine 16-4 is a 1996 Pierce Saber pumper. This engine features; a Detroit Turbo Diesel engine, a five speed push button automatic transmission, a Waterous 1500gpm two stage pump and a 750 gallon water tank.
Rescue 16-5 is a 2015 Rosenbauer “Commander” three door Heavy Rescue. This vehicle features; nine compartments with rollup doors, a command area in the rear of the cab, four large coffin compartments on top and a light tower. This vehicle carries essential tools for communications, forcible entry and rescue operations.
Ladder 16-6 is a 2003 Pierce Enforcer ladder/pumper truck. This vehicle features; a Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, a five speed automatic transmission, a Waterous 1500gpm two stage pump and a 300 gallon water tank. The aerial ladder is 75 feet tall.
