Why Clawson?

Why Clawson?

Why Clawson

“Little City with a Big Heart” isn’t just a saying in Clawson, it’s a way of life.

A community of only 2.2 square miles, Clawson is one of the smallest communities in Oakland County and is ideally situated between I-75 and Woodward Avenue.  A predominately residential community, the small-town atmosphere of Clawson is enhanced by a vibrant downtown, bustling commercial districts and a commitment to providing a high quality of life for all.

Doing Business

Streamlining and efficiency is key goal for the city and driving force for joining the One Stop Ready program through Oakland County, as well as the state's Redevelopment Ready Communities program.   To help achieve this goal we’ve put together a comprehensive City of Clawson Development Guide. In addition, we work closely with our local partners at the Clawson Chamber of Commerce and Clawson Downtown Development Authority. Comprehensive demographic and statistical information can be found in our SEMCOG Community Profile.
