CITY OF CLAWSON CITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The City of Clawson Internship Program is designed to provide talented individuals with an interest in local government management the opportunity to gain practical real-world experience in local government. Our interns are given the opportunity to participate in projects in possible areas such as the arts, recreation, business outreach, and citizen engagement. Interns can expect to lead a project from initial research all the way to presenting recommendations to Council or administration or uploading programs/interviews on our City website.
Interns in the City of Clawson Internship Program will have the opportunity to learn about all areas of the city. These are a few ideas:
- Working on a variety of real-world projects that affect our community.
- Using their research, writing, and interviewing skills to study and promote an issue or business in the City.
- Participation in various City events, organizations or businesses as necessitated by their project(s).
- Presenting their reports and interviews on our City Website.
There are paid internship opportunities with the expectation to work approximately 10 hours a week. This opportunity is open to college students who are currently enrolled in an advertising, business, communications, marketing, political science, public administration, or urban planning program at a local College/University.
